Westin Kierland Resort & Spa : a spirit captured somewhere between desert and city

At the occasion of my attendance at the professional convention IMEX America, which took place in Las Vegas, I had the chance to prolong my stay next to Phoenix in Scottsdale, where I stayed at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.

This is a 5-star resort-style hotel. It offers a wide variety of activities for of all ages: pools, a river, three internationally renowned golf ranges, fitness, tennis, spa, and more…and all this in the heart of the Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The décor of this hotel takes inspiration from the region and incorporates the region’s picturesque history by displaying artworks, photographs, and objects from the era in the hallways and the rooms. It is a true voyage that this hotel promises, with its complete change of scenery!

THE ROOMS:

The rooms are functional and traditional. Don’t come looking for sophistication or quality materials. The views, however, are magnificent, and the idea is to spend your time outside. You will enjoy a very lovely balcony. I particularly recommend the view of the golf range, where you can see the chain of mountains along the horizon.

You’ll also find the Westin’s renowned furnishings, notably the “Heavenly Bed” and the “Heavenly Bath.” The smallest rooms begin at 40 m2. After all, you are in the United States! Space you will have. You will also have the choice between a shower and a bathtub, as well as a desk for working with lots of space.

THE CONFERENCE ROOMS:

The hotel accommodates stays whether of a leisurely or professional nature. The hotel features numerous rooms and offers the necessary facilities for hosting conventions.

The reception hall alone features a surface area of over 16,000 square meters, including 37 conference rooms with infinite possibilities. The hotel often holds galas, conventions, corporate presentations, and even weddings!

THE RESTAURANT:

Cuisine plays a crucial role in The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Considered among one of the best in Scottsdale, this AAA Four Diamond award-winning establishment offers eight unique restaurants to satisfy tastes of all ranges and styles. What more, you will always have the option of enjoying a quiet and private meal thanks to the 24-hour room service.

You must try the pancakes and muffins that are offered for breakfast. A true spread awaits, with all-American assortments of every kind!

I encourage you to enjoy a drink outside the Brittlebush Bar & Grill at the end of the evening around their bonfire while dangling a marshmallow on a stick. You might even hear some bagpipes playing at the end of the day! I find it rather original!

I enjoyed a lovely time at this hotel with its American-style art of living! The building is an immense one, so don’t be surprised if you catch the hotel staff traveling around the halls on segways. Don’t hesitate to stay here if you are passing by Scottsdale. You will also have the choice of staying in the Four Seasons Hotel, a luxurious destination in its own right!
