Meet Josephine Leung, Group Director – Design GOCO about The Spa at Steigenberger Frankfurter :

Located in the heart of Frankfurt, the iconic 136-year old and heritage-listed Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof hotel required an exceptional spa experience. We took great care to develop a concept for THE SPA at Frankfurter Hof tailored to discerning guests seeking quality and authenticity. Every step was taken to create a memorable experience, through thoughtful design and attention to operations. The size of the treatment rooms; the proximity of guest areas and support spaces; the balance of private and communal areas; and the functionality and accessibility of employee and service areas were all fundamental to elevating the guest experience and ensuring financial success.

THE SPA spans a total space of 1,000 square meters and introduces guests to a ‘Modern European’ spa experience combining a collection of traditional spa services with sophisticated beauty techniques, catering to the discerning consumer who seeks quality, authenticity and is pressed for time.

The spa offers a comprehensive program of treatments from massage, body treatments, male grooming, female beauty, advanced facials, authentic hammam and scrub treatment and spa suite experience for couples.

The unique features of THE SPA are the thermal and wet areas, the hammam and the Barber by Hommage. The signature heat and water zone offers a steam, sauna, relaxation loungers, experience showers and ice function allowing guests to enjoy a natural and deep cleansing thermal experience before and post treatment. The spa’s traditional Turkish hammam is another standout feature and is my favourite design element; we created it as an interactive social space, where guests can scrub and clean themselves or have a private scrub in an adjacent room. Finally the Barber is a unique dedicated male grooming service that caters to the polished and busy business travellers.
